Masiello today announced that $75,000 in Federal Enterprise Community, Inc. monies will be appropriated for the completion of Hispanics United of Buffalo's Family Preservation Center (FPC) on Virginia Street.
The appropriation is in addition to state funding that will go for the completion of the FPC, which is approximately 60 percent complete.

"Hispanics United is the only bilingual service provider in Buffalo and the FPC will enhance their programs with job training programs, a computer lab and other critical neighborhood services. Hispanics United of Buffalo has been acknowledged by HUD as one of the country's Beats Practices for the operation of the Construction Trades Training Program, which was part of the original vision of the Family Preservation Center.
