BUFFALO (10-15-1999) - In a joint statement by the Steering Committee of the Public Consensus Review Panel (SC/PCRP) and the Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority (PBA), both parties stand by the details of the bi-national independent review agreement with respect to resolving issues regarding capacity expansion at the Peace Bridge.

"Judge Fahey has issued an interim decision deferring determination of the environmental issues for the next three months as negotiations proceed. We hope that all parties would see that the bi-national independent review process is the most productive way to resolve regional and local issues regarding the U.S. plaza and the bridge. We encourage everyone who has a stake in this issue to support this process."
