BUFFALO (5/26/00) - Mayor Anthony M. Masiello today joined management and employees of Arrow Sheet Metal for a groundbreaking ceremony for the 58-year old firm's new facility in the New Buffalo Industrial Park.
Established in 1942, Arrow Sheet Metal provides metal roofing and siding, pre-engineered metal buildings, window replacement and custom sheet metal fabrication to the commercial, industrial and institutional marketplace. Previous projects completed by Arrow include the HSBC Arena, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo-Niagara International Airport and Dunn Tire Park.
"Arrow Sheet Metal is a firm with a long, proud history in Buffalo," stated Mayor Masiello. "I am pleased they have chosen to remain in the city, continue their tradition of excellence in manufacturing and eventually expand their capacity at their new location in the New Buffalo Industrial Park."
Arrow Sheet Metal is constructing an 8,620 square foot building on a 1.8 acre parcel in the Industrial Park. The company is planning a 5,000 square foot expansion as business increases. The project cost is $395,000.
"We are pleased to be remaining in the city, especially in this fine industrial park," stated Richard Weber, President of Arrow Sheet Metal. "We appreciate the support we have received from the city of Buffalo. We look at this project as a means to solidify our position as a viable Buffalo business for years to come."
